Flinthills High School Forensics Takes 1st at League
HS FORENSICS STAMPEDES INTO THE SEASON WITH 2 TOURNAMENT WINS!
March 3rd, the Mustang Forensics Team travelled to Udall for competition with 13 teams. After a long day of 3 rounds and Finals, FHS placed First. The following students qualified for State Championships: Emily Green - Humorous Solo Acting and Poetry. Taylor Bisbee - Poetry, Javen McCreight - Informative Speaking, Savannah Hale – Persuasive Speaking, Bailey Smith – Prose.
March 26th, the team competed at Argonia against 11 other Teams. The Mustangs came out on top, again, winning Sweepstakes over Medicine Lodge (2nd) and Rose Hill (3rd). Students qualifying for State Championships at Argonia were: Elizabeth Dennis – Poetry, Taylor Bisbee – Informative Speaking, and Taylor Bisbee and Tucker Travnichek in Improvised Duet Acting. Emily Green took 1st in Poetry with 5 perfect scores of 1/25, Javen McCreight took 1st in Informative Speaking, and Bailey Smith took 1st in Prose.
A Forensics Showcase will be Monday, April 23rd at 7:00. Come watch performances of forensics students. Pieces will be scheduled and delivered in Mrs. McCreight, Mr. Freking, and Mr. Casteel’s Rooms. Audience members will be able to choose the events they prefer to watch which will be going on simultaneously. Please take into consideration the maturity of small children.
