TSA Winter Leadership Conference
On March 6 eight TSA students loaded into the suburban and headed to Emporia to experience leadership training with a pirate theme. After playing some icebreakers with other TSA members they began some competitions designed to not only teach students to work together with people they did not know well, but to also experience some of the lesser known competitions offered at the state TSA competition in April. Philip Humig and Wade Haynes decided to step up and run for a state office for next year. Allison Gawith modeled the pirate outfit for her group as part of the Fashion Design competition. Another competition students explored was transportation modeling, creating a pirate ship out of cardboard that had to actually float. The Flinthills members attending were Philip Humig, Wade Haynes, Allison Gawith, Dawson Sharp, Jonathan McCreight, Brandon Gleason, and Ethan Wilson. All of them agreed they were excited for the state competition and were planning on spending spring break working on their individual competitions.
